Photos and local history

Drift does not upload your photos, videos, EXIF data, or viewing history to our servers. macOS grants folder access; Apple PhotoKit supplies Photos library and iCloud content. History, favorites, and image caches stay on your Mac.

Trial and licensing

The website build stores trial dates, license keys, and instance IDs in macOS Keychain. Activation and periodic validation send your key and instance ID to Lemon Squeezy. First activation also sends your Mac’s name. The payment provider processes your purchase email, which can appear in the app’s license panel.

Payments

Lemon Squeezy handles payment and sales tax data; we do not receive card details. Its privacy policy also applies. Apple handles Mac App Store purchases.

Updates and website

The website build uses Sparkle to check hhdrift.com for updates. Cloudflare hosts the website and downloads; it may process IP addresses, requests, and device information to deliver and secure the service and meter traffic. We add no advertising, cross-site tracking, or analytics scripts.

Removal and retention

Uninstalling the app does not remove trial or license entries from Keychain. Deactivate this Mac in the app to free a seat; manage local entries in Keychain Access. Payment records are retained according to provider policies and applicable law.
